What is The Many Hearts of Psychotherapy?
This monthly two-hour series will continue on the second Friday of each month. It is designed to fulfill three purposes:
1. To raise the standing and understanding of psychotherapy in the public eye. The public will be invited to attend at no charge, although everyone must register in advance because space is limited.
2. To promote cross-fertilization amongst APTI programs. Each APTI member school will be invited to present what they consider to be at the very heart of their modality in any way they choose – demonstration, audience participation, lecture, videos, etc. Each may promote their own psychotherapy program(s) as they see fit. Preference will be given to programs that are recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
3. To fulfill CRPO competency requirement 1.3.2 “Recognize the range of psychotherapy practised within the province of Ontario” (see www.crpo.ca). For psychotherapists-in-training, APTI schools may choose to include attendance as part of their program, at their discretion. For more information, email president@adler.ca.
